With Bentley's 100th anniversary set to be next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. bentley key pays homage to the company's founder, W.O. Bentley and includes a piece of one of his vehicles.
The special model can be ordered as a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. used as his personal car. The influence of the car can be seen in the cabin. For instance the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet comes with an exhibit with a portion of the 8 Litre crankshaft displaying inside.
Other highlights include a chrome-colored application that runs back to the side of the car that has a photoetched B-shaped air vent which incorporates W.O. his signature front grille that's modeled after the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and an optional chrome-colored application that wraps around the lower spoilers, left and right. The front grille is also unique, sporting an aluminum shell instead of the normal body-colored mesh as in the regular Mulsanne and also featuring the Flying B logo as well.
A keybox engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys and is adorned with black flock lining. individual key pouches are available to complement or contrast the key box. The set is also commemorative, and includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and an air-borne 'B' paperweight, plus a printed brochure that features never-before-seen images of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
The Bentley Wing Key Box
This accessory is ideal for Bentley owners and enthusiasts. It comes with a unique key box that is embossed in Bentley wings. This item is packaged in a gift box with tissue paper and makes an ideal gift for birthdays, Christmas, or other special occasions.
The key fob's knurling, which is metal-to-metal replicates the textures that are found throughout the interior, including the seat temperature controls and the shift knob. bentley key programming says, "We wanted the knurling as consistent and elegant" as is possible. It was important to keep the dimensions and shape of the fob the same.
Bentley Mulliner customers are able to select any color from the Bentley portfolio, as well as any combination of hides or veneers, and custom embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin with almost 400,000 stitches. The lighting for mood can also be adjusted to suit different moods.
Standard exteriors include illuminated treadplates and brushed silver clocks and new 22in wheels sporting self-leveling Bentley logos. Customers can also request a bespoke Bentley logo laser-etched onto the rear fixing to pay homage to the 1930 8 Litre W.O. Edition that was the inspiration for the car.
